Men's Transition Program

Men’s Transition Program: Sponsors, Inc. has several programs targeted at the Lane County ex-offender population. Residential programs for males are located at 1756 Willamette St. (27 total beds), and at 564 Lincoln Street (18 total beds), both in Eugene, OR. In addition, there are 14 Honors Program beds for males who have successfully completed the basic program and express interest in remaining in a less-structured environment for up to 1 year, six at Lincoln St., and 8 at Willamette St.

Men's Transition ProgramServices in the basic program include Case Management for each participant, transitional housing, assistance in obtaining employment and permanent housing on completion of the program, and assistance in obtaining identification, and whatever clothing and tools are required for employment. Participants are required to submit on demand to requests for drug tests and breathalysers which detect alcohol use. In addition, they are required to turn in a minimum of 50% of their earnings to assist in their transition out of the program. Achieving financial self-sufficiency by legal means is one of the program goals. Program duration for the basic program is an average of 60 days. Upon successful completion clients will have remained drug and alcohol free, maintained compliance with the conditions of their parole or probation, obtained full-time employment or entered school full-time (or a full-time combination of the two), and acquired stable housing.  For the past ten years, between 60 and 70 percent of all clients each year have successfully completed our program.
