Success through Educational Achievement (SEA)

In February, 2004, Sponsors began a grant-funded program with a capacity of 12 men and 4 women designed to assist participants in acquiring a college degree.  Funded by The Meyer Memorial Trust, Collins Foundation, and an anonymous donor, the program provides housing equipped with computers and internet access, case management services , and tutors where appropriate.  There is also a rent subsidy component which helps to keep participants engaged after they leave Sponsors housing.  The program was grant funded through January, 2006.  However, given its early indications of success, Sponsors has incorporated the program into its basic services.
